Skin ageing is a result of both genetic and external factors
During perimenopause some negative changes like skin thinning, microcirculation disorders, degradation of collagen and elastic fibers, glycation and decreased sebum secretion become noticeable and, let’s face it, kind of rude too!
The good news is you can reduce these symptoms of menopause with the right skin-care routine recommended by your dermatologist and there are some universal rules:
- Wash your face with fragrance-free cleanser that is safe for your dry and sensitized skin.
- Apply moisturizer containing hyaluronic acid, humectants (e.g. glycerin) generously on face and body whenever you feel dry (at least twice a day).
